TUGIAD – Young Businessmen Association of Turkey
TÜGİAD, the first national and the only international association of the young businessmen of Turkey, was founded in 1986 in order to produce public interest, provide individual as well as social improvement, contribute to the improvement of the socio economic status of the whole society throughout the country, via improving the leadership qualifications, social responsibilities and fellow feeling of the young businessmen.
With its 870 members throughout Turkey, TÜGİAD has a profile of dynamic businessmen, manufacturers as well as exporters to 100 countries worldwide, with an average age of 35, representing 60 different sectors including construction, textile, foreign trade, automotive and spare parts, tourism, food, machinery and production of other metal products. In addition, TÜGİAD members are engaged in foreign business mostly, with the annual export of 18 billion dollars and annual import of 23 billion dollars.
TÜGİAD, setting out with the ideals of young person, young entrepreneur and young Turkey perspective required by the present age, has always claimed, during its existence of 29 years, that the success of Turkey depends on the success of the young generation, and has always represented the young business world with great success, both at home and in foreign countries.
TÜGİAD, representing Turkey at G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance (YEA), is also Vice President of the European Union of Young Entrepreneurs Organization (JEUNE) which represents 300.000 entrepreneurs from 11 countries in Europe, and has role of vice-president at board of JEUNE.
TÜGİAD is at present, founder and executive board member of MAME (Mediterranean – Africa – Middle-East Young Entrepreneurs’ Network) targeting 200.000 young business people in 84 countries. Besides, having permanent representative in Brussels since 1993, is at present vice-president of YES representing 45.000 young entrepreneurs at European level.
