On Friday 25th of April, 2014 Young Entrepreneurs’ Organization of the European Union – JEUNE held presidential elections in Bucharest, Romania.
Former President Florin Jianu had to resign in March 2014 as being called to be the Minister of SMEs and Tourism of Romania, and during the past weeks as interim presidents Andrea Gelfi and Patrik Kovács directed JEUNE.
During the elections Patrik Kovács, Founder-President of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Association Hungary (FIVOSZ) has been elected as the new President of JEUNE with one voice.

During the elections Patrik Kovács, Founder-President of the Young Entrepreneurs’ Association Hungary (FIVOSZ) has been elected as the new President of JEUNE with one voice.
The new President said:
“It is a very great honour, and I will face the task of being the president with humility. The issue of supporting young entrepreneurs has never been so important in Europe than now, when youth unemployment crisis is one of the biggest challenges of the EU. More than 5 million young people are excepting help and they are in need of support in self-employment and in becoming entrepreneurs for which JEUNE is in the best position in Europe to provide knowledge, role-models, mediating their voice.”
The new president named three vice-presidents:
- Andrea Gelfi – Confcommercio, Italy
- Ali Yücelen – TÜGIAD, Turkey
- Vasile Priceputu – PTIR/YEAR, Romania.
