Patrik Kovács, President of JEUNE has met with Ján Solík, President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia (ZMPS/ YEAS) at the end of May, and talked about the European conditions and opportunities of young entrepreneurship. For enhancing the voice of JEUNE and to provide help with a European wide network for the Slovakian young entrepreneurs they agreed in joining JEUNE by the YEAS.
Young Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia was established in 2010 as an organization which associates young entrepreneurs under age of 40. The main reason of establishment of YEAS was a lack of attention devoted to encouragement of young generation of entrepreneurs, who will represent the future of Slovak business. Young people are usually not suffering from a lack of new ideas, but they are missing know-how, contacts and capital. Young Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia has an ambition to do activities, which might be helpful to make these conditions better.
Young Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia is the host of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Slovakia, and initiated the creation of the Slovak business angels network (SBAN) in cooperation with the National Agency for development of small and medium Enterprises, and Hospodárske noviny (Economic daily), in which more than 20 investors are waiting for the projects of young people. In 2013 YEAS has announced and awarded the “Business Idea of the Year Award”.
The mission of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Slovakia is to mobilize young people, and present them entrepreneurship as a lifestyle and at the same time help with implementation of their original and innovative business ideas.
