JEUNE at the Unconvention conference 2014 today is present with its president Patrik Kovács and the head of the Advisory Board Michele Orzan, highlighting the importance of young entrepreneurs in times of economic uncertainty and in fighting the youth unemployment crisis.
President Patrik Kovács is invited as highlighted speaker to the Unconvention 2014 Conference which is held under High Patronage of José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission. The conference organized by the European Young Innovtaors Forum (EYIF) in cooperation with the EC and EP has its focus on new dimensions of young innovation in Europe.
According to the President: “In a global context, there are relatively few young entrepreneurs in Europe, rate of youth unemployment is extremely high, and the European SME sector is struggling with an increasingly serious lack of new businesses. The issue of economic integration of the youth has never been so important for the future of Europe.
JEUNE is seeking to be one of the driving forces in Europe for shared thinking and policy-making initiatives on what legislative and economic-educational policy instruments can enable us to effectively improve the employment situation and entrepreneurial commitment of young Europeans.
In working on setting the right framework for modern entrepreneurship we have to take into consideration both the European economic history as well as the digital future. “
JEUNE welcomes the reorganization of positions of the European Commission, especially the drawing together the education and cultural spheres with an emphatic youth policy and European citizenship focus.
With the nomination of Tibor Navracsics to the position of European Commissioner of Education, Culture, Youth & Citizenship JEUNE is putting high hopes for opening of new initiatives as he was already a well-known supporter of youth and its issues in several programs as minister in his own country.
JEUNE is currently the largest and most influential organization supporting and representing young entrepreneurs across Europe reaching more than 1,660,000 passionate young people interested in entrepreneurship. The organization is actively working on fighting youth unemployment and nurturing a new socially active European business generation.
