Hundreds of events were held around Europe as part of European Youth Week 2015, from rock concerts to youth conferences. On Wednesday 6th of May 2015, European Commissioner Tibor Navracsics lead a high-level panel debate on the themes of European Youth Week, in front of an invited audience of young people and youth work professionals.
Following a keynote speech from Commissioner Navracsics and addresses from Silvia Costa MEP, Chair of the European Parliament Culture and Education Committee and Mārīte Seile, Minister of Education and Science from the Republic of Latvia, a debate were held on the topic of “Enhancing youth participation to prevent intolerance and antidemocratic behavior.” The speakers will be joined by three additional policy and opinion formers with experience in this area.
