On December 14, 2018, on occasion of the “Pre New Year Researchers Meet-Up” workshop organized by the University of Maribor along with JEUNE and with the support of our Slovenian associates of the Mladinska Podjetinška Aliansa, JEUNE General Assembly took place at the Edvard Rusjan Airport of Maribor.
During the meeting, the discussion focused mainly on the importance of JEUNE’s involvement in projects, initiatives and networks of organizations.
In this regard, Miss Tinkara Oblak mentioned the European Youth Forum that took place in Serbia on 22-24 November 2018, where topical issues such as women’s rights and migrations had been discussed. She also underlined the importance for JEUNE to be involved in YOUTH, an organization that includes over 125 organizations and about 15 million people.
The meeting went on with a presentation of the European Commission Innovation Launchpad, which should prove a good opportunity and reliable tool, and of the BusinessRail Experience, which is currently developing and improving and for which 3 editions are scheduled for 2019.
At the end of the meeting, the assembly visited the start-up “Life on Screen”, where our colleague Žiga Koriska illustrated the history of this company, which reached the international markets in just few years by proposing an innovative business model in the digital signage segment.
