The annual GEW closing gala organized by our member organization FIVOSZ took place in Budapest in the suggestive setting of the Gundel restaurant. The GEW week, full of events distributed throughout Hungary, gave FIVOSZ the chance to address to the local, regional and national institutions and to point out the fundamental role of young entrepreneurs in Hungarian economy. It was also an occasion for encouraging young people to start an enterprise in order to express their vocation and to contribute to developing a sustainable and innovative economy. FIVOSZ President, Mr. Patrik Kovacs, opened his speech by highlighting how the challenges young people have to face nowadays belong to a context that is completely new and how new technologies applied to transports, medicine, services and industry have dramatically revolutionized the rules of many markets. He also pointed out the need of being prepared to a scenario that we cannot foresee.

The Deputy Secretary of State for Innovation at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, Mr. Tibor Gulyás, agreed with President Kovacs and congratulated FIVOSZ and President Kovacs for their significant work and commitment.

During the night, Jeune representatives from ten different Countries had the chance to get to know the Hungarian colleagues better and to start a fruitful debate with the aim of widening Jeune’s network of relations and finding new ways for fostering their representative and protecting role towards European young entrepreneurs.
