On September 25, our member association Entreps – the International Board of Global Actors and Business for Sustainability, of which our new Vice-president Mr. Joaquin V. Boston is chairman – launched the 5th Global Entreps Awards and 5Gcitizens International Congress at the General Assembly of the United Nations in NYC, UNGA75.
The event took place online with the subtitle ‘Art for Climate Action (UNDP and Solution17 Nigeria)’ and was opened by Mr. Ban Ki-moon, the 8th Secretary-General of the UN. Among other public figures, the recent Deputy Secretary-General of the UN Mrs. Amina Mohammed and the Director-General of the Joint Research Center JRC – European Commission – addressed the participants from 126 countries.
JEUNE is exceptionally proud of co-organizing such a relevant event with Entreps, which counts on 1,000 Global Jurors worldwide who assess the best practices on Sustainability, Digital Industry, Entrepreneurship, Good Governance, and the UN SDGs. Moreover, among the Global Jurors are several JEUNE members, including President Mr. Andrea Gelfi (Italy), Mrs. Simona Chaminska (North Macedonia), Vice-President Mr. Alberto Carvalho (Portugal), Ms. Alexandrina Robu (Moldova), Mr. Marín Dandarov (Bulgaria), and Mr. Daniel Uritu (Romania).
The 5th Global Entreps Awards and 5Gcitizens International Congress lasts from September 2020 to 31st January 2021 and consists of the Awards Gala and several activities worldwide.
Eventually, Entreps will launch a video-book containing 300 best practices worldwide, and JEUNE will contribute with at least 15 of those practices via our country members.
